You can smoke it in your favorite way! We like to mix our hemp flowers with organic tobacco but also with other sacred plants like sage, damiana, mugwort and rose petals. You can vaporize it, smoke it in a pipe, roll it up, or light it like sage to bless and cleanse spaces.
Cook with it
We like to take about a gram of hemp flowers, mince them up and add them to our food as an herb. It adds a nutty, earthy, umami flavor to the food and is a great way to simply ingest the cannabinoids that help us so much!
Make tea with it
We grind it up like Yerba Mate and make tea with it. Depending on the amount and the time steeping the effects can be dramatically increase or decreased. Try about a half a gram to start and steep for 1 min in boiling water. We like honey, even though its not totally vegan! But coconut sugar, monk fruit or your other favorite sweetener will work great too.
Make your own tinctures
The simplest tinctures are made with soaking hemp in your favorite oil, olive oil, coconut oil, macadamia nut oil or whatever your favorite oil is. You can also use the strongest alcohol you can find or your favorite liquid sweetener. Most companies use glycerin but you can use any liquid sweetener you like. This is a great way to keep the medicine as close to its full nature as possible with no heat. We like to put our jars out during a full moon to charge the medicine up with that powerful energy.
You can also heat up the oil, which does change the final product but everyone has different goals.
A good simple recipe is to use about 3 grams of hemp flower to about a cup of oil. Let it sit or heat it up and try it! You’ll quickly discover if you want it to be stronger or weaker, happy experimenting!
Make your own salves and creams
Most good salves and creams and ointments are made with different combinations of oils such as coconut oil, olive oil and even waxes like beeswax.
Here’s a few recipes we love, best to heat them in a double-boiler:
